About Us
About RoadHauler
RoadHauler is an independent 24/7 towing and roadside assistance directory covering the United States. We organize towing company information, service details, customer reviews, and direct contact links into clean, comparable pages so stranded motorists can find reliable help without bouncing between dozens of tabs.
Why we built this
When your car breaks down on I-95 at midnight, or your tire blows on a remote highway in the middle of a rainstorm, the last thing you want is to wade through search results trying to figure out which towing company is actually available, actually licensed, and actually close enough to help.
We built RoadHauler because we wanted a single place where drivers could quickly find towing and roadside assistance providers who are verified as available, see their ratings and service areas, and call them directly. No dispatch middlemen, no lead-generation forms that sell your number to six different companies, no waiting on hold.
The goal is simple: connect people in roadside emergencies to real, local towing professionals as fast as possible.
Behind the name
RoadHauler is two ideas in one: the road you're stuck on, and the people who haul you off it. It's a nod to the hardworking drivers who show up at all hours, in all weather, to get you moving again.
Towing is not a glamorous industry, but it is an essential one. Every listing in our directory represents a company staffed by people willing to drive out at 3 AM so you don't have to spend the night on the shoulder. We think those companies deserve to be easy to find.
What we do
We maintain a directory of 2,963 towing and roadside assistance providers across 51 US states. Each listing includes:
- 24/7 availability indicators and verified business hours
- Direct phone numbers for immediate dispatch
- Customer ratings and review summaries from Google
- Service categories: emergency towing, flatbed, winch-out, jump start, tire change, and more
- Official website links and Google Maps directions
- Photos of the operation from verified sources
Alongside the directory, our editorial team publishes safety guides, towing tips, and roadside advice through the Journal section.
Our editorial approach
Every provider page on this site is built from verified data. We cross-reference business listings, check operating hours, and confirm contact details before publishing. When information changes, we update the listing.
Our journal articles are written with the driver in mind. Instead of generic advice, we focus on practical questions: what to do when your car breaks down on a highway, how to choose a towing company, what hookup and mileage fees really mean, and how to stay safe while you wait for help.
We do not accept payment for placement in our directory or editorial content. Provider listings are included based on data availability and customer ratings, not advertising relationships.
Get in touch
We welcome messages from drivers, towing professionals, and media contacts. Whether you have a question about a listing, want to suggest a correction, or are interested in an editorial collaboration, reach out through our contact page.
